Bio

Dr. McNally graduated veterinary school from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After a rotating internship in emergency medicine and critical care in Massachusetts she returned to UF to do a residency in anesthesia and pain management. She completed her specialty training and became boarded in anesthesia and pain management in 2009. From there she moved to the Caribbean island of St. Kitts where she lived for three and a half years and taught anesthesia at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon her return to the United States, she moved to Hawaii where she practiced emergency medicine and anesthesia at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center of Hawaii for 7 years.

She returned to the mainland in 2020 to work as the anesthesiologist at an animal imaging facility in the San Francisco Bay area but soon realized that she preferred a slightly warmer climate. She migrated to southern California to work as the anesthesiologist for Veterinary Dental Specialties, where she has been since October 2021. She works primarily out of the San Diego and Irvine offices, but she does travel to the other offices for direct monitoring cases as needed and creates the anesthesia protocols for all of the patients after studying their medical records.

Dr. McNally enjoys surfing, hiking and spending time with family. She has one furry daughter, a corgi named Nai’a and recently welcomed a human daughter into the family.
