Dr. Stephanie Holloway

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Florida

Bio

Dr. Stephanie Holloway has always loved animals, having grown up in a very pet-friendly home in Jacksonville, FL. After knowing animals would always be her passion, she decided that veterinary school was her final academic goal.

She continued to work locally as a veterinary technician at hospitals throughout the Jacksonville area while enrolling at Florida Community College of Jacksonville. Once Dr. Holloway graduated with her Associate’s Degree, she transferred to the University of Florida College of Agriculture and graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in 2003. While enrolled in classes at UF, Dr. Holloway worked at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital in the Small Animal Intensive Care Unit, managing the blood bank and was a lead nurse for the Orthopedic department. Dr. Holloway received her Master of Science degree in Veterinary Science in 2004 and was then accepted into Veterinary School at the University of Florida, graduating in 2010.

Prior to working at Veterinary Dental Specialties, Dr. Holloway worked in small animal general practice for 9 years in practices throughout the Jacksonville area. Dr. Holloway became interested in dentistry after attending a week-long continuing education course that was focused only on dentistry. Attempting to learn as much about dentistry as possible, she came to Veterinary Dental Specialities at the training center in San Diego for a continuing education course in February 2019. During the course, she showed an interest in a dental residency. Soon after the course, she was accepted to become a Dental Resident at Veterinary Dental Specialties in San Diego, CA.  During her time in San Diego, Dr. Holloway was educated in veterinary dentistry and was trained to perform advanced dental procedures.  In July 2020, Dr. Holloway moved back to Jacksonville, FL, and opened a Veterinary Dental Specialties practice to serve the North Florida area.

Dr. Holloway is married to a fellow University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine graduate, Dr. Tim Holloway. Dr. Holloway enjoys watching Florida Gator Football, physical fitness, and being a mother to her two children, Kymber and Brody.  The Holloway family has 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 4 tortoises.
