Dr. Natalie Henderson

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Oklahoma State University

Bio

Dr. Natalie Henderson was born and raised in Durban, South Africa. From age four, Dr. Henderson dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. In 2002 her family emigrated to the United States, making that dream a reality. They settled in Oklahoma, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Zoology at the University of Oklahoma before earning her doctorate of veterinary medicine (DVM) from Oklahoma State University in 2017. While at OSU, Dr. Henderson met her husband, Jeff, a classmate and now third-generation Oklahoma State veterinarian.

Before embarking on a career in veterinary dentistry, Dr. Henderson worked for several years as a general practitioner in Texas and Florida. As a new graduate with minimal dentistry training, she often felt frustrated that she couldn’t provide the necessary dental services her patients desperately needed. Wanting to offer ‘gold standard’ dental care, Dr. Henderson sought dentistry-specific courses, which ignited her passion for dentistry and ultimately led her to pursue a residency with us here at Veterinary Dental Specialties.

Dr. Henderson is thrilled to be back in the DFW area, and we’re excited to announce that practice number 18 is anticipated to open in Plano, TX, in 2023. In the meantime, you can schedule an appointment with her at these three locations: Dublin, CA; Richardson, TX; and Pensacola, FL.

When she isn’t traveling from coast-to-coast seeing patients, Dr. Henderson can be found chasing after her three children, Harper, Hadley, and Cooper, and their German Shorthaired Pointer, Stella.
