Bio

Dr. Lan was born and raised in Taiwan, where he grew up in a warm and supportive family environment that instilled in him the values of kindness and helping others. From a young age, he showed a deep affection for animals, caring for small pets such as fish and turtles. These early experiences sparked his lifelong passion for animal health and well-being.

Pursuing his love for animals, Dr. Lan earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from National Taiwan University in 2015. After graduation, he began his career as a general practice veterinarian, where he gained broad clinical experience. It was during these formative years in practice that he discovered a special interest in veterinary dentistry.

In 2019, Dr. Lan made the bold decision to move to the United States to pursue advanced training in his chosen specialty. He completed a clinical year at Oklahoma State University, during which he obtained his American veterinary license and further solidified his commitment to excellence in dental care for animals.

Following his training, Dr. Lan spent four years working at an emergency veterinary hospital in Texas, honing his skills in critical care and dental procedures. In 2024, he relocated to San Diego and proudly joined the VDS family, where he now focuses on providing comprehensive dental services to pets in need.

Dr. Lan is passionate about delivering the highest quality dental care and is committed to building strong, trusting relationships with pet owners. For him, seeing his patients thrive with healthy teeth and gums is the greatest reward.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lan enjoys staying active through regular workouts, relaxing with movies and sports games, and spending quality time with his beloved cat. A devoted cat lover, he finds joy and comfort in the companionship of his feline friend.
